To send out our Newsletter we are using the programme MailChimp, which is provided by the Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA. It is therefore necessary for Mailchip to get access to your email address. MailChimp is certified by the Data Protection Agreement „Privacy Shield“. Due to this certification they have voluntarily committed themselves to meet all requirements on data protection, which are found to be adequate by the EU. Further information regarding your data protection of MailChimp can be found under the following link: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/
Furthermore, by using statistics we evaluate how many newsletter subscribers open our emails and which elements in the newsletter are being clicked on. For this purpose our email contains a small data file, a so-called „Beacon“, which communicates with the server of MailChimp while opening the newsletter. This data file reports back the time and where applicable how many times the newsletter was opened, as well as technical information like the IP address of the subscriber. With this data MailChimp creates a statistic, which helps us to improve customising our newsletter for the subscribers. However it cannot be excluded in individual cases, that single accesses are relatable to specific email addresses. This case is an exception and is by no means the goal of the evaluation. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by using the provided link in our newsletter, or sending us an email. This will immediately delete your email address from our mailing list.
In case we don’t hear back from you, we will assume that you would like to continue to receive newsletters, and we will keep you on our mailing list. The dispatch of our newsletter for direct advertising and the statistical evaluation through our provider is based on article 6, section 1 lit f DS-GVO.
